Flameless Electric Air Heaters
Convectronics Air Heaters use state of the art materials and
can be found throughout the world in countless industries.
Air heaters work by continuously passing air/fluid over a
heated element. This air/fluid is heated and then discharged from the heater,
giving a consistent supply of reliable heat. The material being heated can
either be inert gas, compressed air or air from a regenerative blower.
Unfiltered gas that may contain dirt, grease, oil, oil vapors, corrosive or
reactive gases along with volatile or combustible gases should never be used. It
should be noted that material should always be flowing over the element before
and even after power is supplied to the heater or the result may be overheating
of the element and reduced life.

Single Pass Convectronics Quartz Tube Heaters

Convectronics Style 001Quartz air heaters
require compressed air for operation, up to 300 SCFH.
Convectronics air heaters can have up to 240
volts AC applied and provide to 4650 watts resulting in outlet
temperatures up to 1300 F.

Heaters have a 1/4 NPT Female Thread for use with a compression
tube fitting (not supplied). |
Convectronics Style 001 Quartz Air heaters
should be used with Solid State controls. Because of the low mass
and quick response of these heaters, use only phase angle power
control (not zero cross) with voltage limiting.

In-Line Pipe Heaters

The Convectronics Style 007 Fluid Heater uses
the same element configuration as the Styles 001 and 003 but in a
stainless steel pipe. This construction is suited to in-line
applications where pipe threads are required at both inlet and
outlet ends. Electrical terminations are offered in the form of lead
wires and as feedthrus rated up to 150 psi. These heaters can be
used to heat substances other than air as long as the fluid is
non-conductive and does not chemically react with 300 series
stainless steel, silver solder, nickel, aluminum oxide or the epoxy
potting material used on the leaded model. This product must be
properly grounded and fused. |

High Volume In-Line Pipe Heaters

This Convectronics 007-10197 heater is intended
for heating air at high flow rates (up to 60 SCFM) to 1000�F maximum
and features threaded inlet and outlet connections. A high volume
air source (such as a regenerative blower) is connected to the 2-1/2
NPT inlet and a variable voltage source is connected to the
elements via the junction box. |

Open Coil Convection Heaters

CONVECTRONICS offers the same coil configuration
used in the Styles 001 and 003 Air Heaters as a design concept for
convection heating applications in ducts and plenium chambers. This
construction is stronger, more efficient and has a longer life than
other types of convection heating elements.
These elements are available mounted on frames as
shown or as elements alone for those who use their own frames. Other
designs and wattages are available upon request. Please let us know
what your requirements are if the designs shown do not fit your
needs. |
Single Element, from 100 to 4250 watts, and Dual
Element Heater , 100 to 8550 watts, available. Wattages are also
variable by voltage regulation and wiring.
Because of the low mass and quick response of
these heaters, use only phase angle power control (not zero cross)
